This quartet in arch form includes a majestic and foreboding largo, an intense allegro, and a spooky adagio. The bass trombonist gets to shake the floor.

This is the original version. I later made an adaptation of it for saxophone quartet, which was a winner of the 2024 UConn Saxophone Quartet Composition Contest. Later I made it into a reed quintet!
