In this poem, the poet personifies the prairie wind and a field of wheat as two partners in a dance. The music has contrasting sections for each of them. The sopranos and altos get to imitate the ever-flowing, whistling, unpredictable wind.

This is also available in a version with a rehearsal piano reduction. Contact me if you want this.

A recording by Sonus Chamber Choir will be available in October 2026.
