Composer: Sam Kauffman
Lyricist/text source: Isaiah 40:28-31
Language: English
Duration: 5:00
Year: 2009

This is a setting of Isaiah 40’s beautiful message of encouragement and strength, rich with text painting and mixed-mode harmonies. It’s been beloved by performers and audiences across two continents, including at the storied St. Thomas Church, Leipzig. I hope you enjoy it!

The SATB version has limited divisi. The TTBB version has divisi only at the very end, and that’s optional, so it works as a quartet piece.

Eagles’ Wings (SATB), performed by the Eastern Mennonite University Chamber Singers
