Samkauffmanmusic.com Terms of Service

Updated 2024-06-26

By purchasing music from samkauffmanmusic.com, you agree to these terms.

When you purchase music from samkauffmanmusic.com, you are purchasing a license to produce physical copy(ies) of the PDFs, subject to the limitations in these terms. All rights, including the rights of copyright, distribution, recording, synchronization, ownership, and intellectual property remain with the publisher. You may not distribute the PDFs.

"Physical copy" is defined as either: 1) a hard copy printed on paper, or 2) the sheet music viewed on one electronic device in lieu of a paper hard copy.

The number of physical copies you may produce depends on the type of work:

  • Type 1: Choral works, unaccompanied solos, accompanied vocal solos: For these works, there is only one PDF. The number of physical copies you may produce is the number of copies you purchased, as indicated in your purchase receipt.
  • Type 2: Choral works with additional instrumental parts (for example, choir with piano and violin, with a separate PDF for the violin): For these works, you receive a choral PDF and one or more PDFs of instrumental parts. The number of physical copies of the choral PDF you may produce is the number of copies you purchased, as indicated in your purchase receipt. You may produce one physical copy of an instrumental part per person who will play those part(s).
  • Type 3: Chamber works, accompanied instrumental solos: For these works, you receive a PDF of the score and one or more PDFs of individual parts. You may produce one physical copy of the score and one physical copy of each part.
  • Type 4: Large ensemble works (band, orchestra, trombone choir): For these works, you receive a PDF of the score and PDFs of the individual parts. You may produce one physical copy of the score. You may produce unlimited physical copies of the parts, provided they are only used by one ensemble at any given time.

Works that include a choir and a large ensemble such as an orchestra are treated as two separate works for the purposes of these Terms and are purchased separately. The choral score is type 2, and the full score and orchestral parts are type 4.

If a physical copy is damaged, you may destroy it and produce a replacement physical copy.
