This is a setting of Isaiah 40’s beautiful message of encouragement and strength, rich with text painting, mixed-mode harmonies, and a contrasting middle section of excessive parallelism. It’s been beloved by performers and audiences across two continents, including at the storied St. Thomas Church, Leipzig. I hope you enjoy it!

The SATB version has limited divisi. The TTBB version has divisi only at the very end, and that’s optional, so it works as a quartet piece.
