Composer: Trad. American, arr. Sam Kauffman
Duration: 3:30
Year: 2024

The beautiful and well-known folk song, arranged for trombones. Set in flowing triple meter and brimming with lush harmonies, the first verse has a cascading countermelody over a stretched version of the tune. The second verse is a more straightforward setting of the tune, leading to the countermelody’s return at the very end.

An optional beginner part is provided, suitable for trombone choirs that include beginning trombonists. It always doubles another part.

The trombone octet version and the trombone choir version are identical, but they have different licensing terms. If you buy the octet version, you may print one copy of each part; with the choir version, unlimited copies, according to the Terms of Service.
